Associate Director, Corporate Partnership

The Associate Director will collaborate with corporate team leadership to manage and grow pioneering corporate partnerships, cause marketing campaigns and sponsorships with high-profile corporate partners to support the No Kid Hungry campaign. The Associate Director will play a significant role in the development and design of corporate stewardship strategy, programs and processes.  The Associate Director will have direct revenue goals in addition to sharing collective responsibility for larger team revenue goals. This position will help shape the full corporate strategy to steward critically important partnerships, to enhance existing business and support collaborative efforts internally.

This position is preferably based in Washington, D.C. but could be fully remote for the right candidate. This position offers a range of $103,000 to $110,000. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Spearheads CP team’s stewardship strategy – leading development of and supporting the team’s execution of critical partner retention and growth initiatives to help reach the team’s annual fundraising goal of $50 million by 2027. 
  • Plays a lead role in team strategy efforts including the development and execution of Innovation Strategy Sessions.
  • Partners with Corporate team leaders to identify and refine CP Team Annual Objectives.
  • Manages $3M - $6M in strategic partnerships with leading partner brands to support the organization and Corporate Partnerships team revenue goals, with oversight responsibility for the day-to-day execution and stewardship of partners including raise incremental funds, increase awareness, and engage consumers for Share Our Strength and our mission. 
  • Develops unique activation strategies that further partners’ business objectives while maximizing fundraising potential for No Kid Hungry and ensuring year-over-year growth of partnership revenues. 
  • Supports the development of partnership marketing and communications plans, reviews and approves partnership collateral, ensures partner benefits are properly executed at events, manages employee engagement opportunities, leads periodic conference calls and in-person partner summits, and refreshes research and insights on corporate partners.
  • Manages staff members and supports overall Corporate Partnerships team initiatives. 
  • Collaborates with New Business Team to expand corporate partnerships to new channels; develop growth strategies, solicit, and secure incremental funding. 
  • Stays abreast of Share Our Strength’s programs and activities, as well as hunger and nutrition community trends, in order to identify opportunities to secure additional funding, to share updates with existing funders, and to engage funders in programmatic work, as appropriate.
  • Keep a strong fundraising knowledge and skill base and ample growth opportunities for team members the Associate Director will manage
  • Represent Share Our Strength and the Corporate Partnership team with finesse by phone, email, and in person; build external relationships through meticulous service and support, and through creative problem-solving. 
  • Represent the Corporate Partnerships team on internal task forces and cross-departmental projects as needed.
  • Travel 25%-35%
  • Other duties as assigned. 


  • At least 8 years of experience in successfully managing corporate relations – sponsorship, cause marketing and/or marketing programs either from the corporate, agency or partner side. Direct experience managing large-scale cause-marketing or CSR/corporate philanthropy partnerships a plus.
  • Successful track record of managing staff with the ability to coach, persuade, energize, delegate, and motivate others; 3+ years of management experience
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, including ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced and collaborative workplace.
  • A proven ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization to work collaboratively with staff.
  • Fluency with all Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment. 
  • Emotional intelligence and strong orientation towards customer service (internally and externally). 
  • Excellent time and project management skills; attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in an entrepreneurial environment. Many projects involve intradepartmental and interdepartmental communication. 
  • High energy and demonstrated passion for Share Our Strength’s mission.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy 


Share Our Strength is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our staff. In order to maintain this safe workplace, we are adopting this policy to safeguard the health of our employees and their families; our partners and visitors; and the community at large. This policy will comply with all applicable laws and is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities, as applicable. 


Except as set forth below in the section titled “Exemptions,” all Employees (which, only for purposes of this policy, include full and part-time regular staff, AmeriCorps, temporary employees, and interns) must be “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. An individual is considered “fully vaccinated” two weeks after receipt of the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (e.g., Pfizer, Moderna) or two weeks after receipt of a one-dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson). Share Our Strength may also require that employees receive any booster shots ultimately recommended by health authorities. 


Employees will be notified by HR as to the timeframe(s) for having the vaccine(s) administered. Only vaccines that have received an Emergency Use Authorization or have been fully approved by the FDA or World Health Organization shall qualify. 

COVID-19 vaccinations are generally available free of charge, regardless of whether an individual has health insurance or not. Share Our Strength can provide informational resources where Employees without insurance may receive the vaccine at no charge. 

All Employees will be paid for time taken to receive vaccinations. Employees are to work with their managers to schedule appropriate time to comply with this policy. 

Before the stated deadlines to be vaccinated, Employees must provide proof of vaccination or have been approved for an exemption pursuant to the section below. For virtually all Employees, documentation will consist of the Employee's vaccination card. If other documentation is used, it should only include proof of vaccination and not other medical or genetic information (e.g., family medical history). 

If an Employee is unable to provide proof of vaccination or a reasonable accommodation cannot be provided, the Employee may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. 


Employees in need of an exemption from this policy due to a medical reason or because of a sincerely held religious belief, or as otherwise required by law, must submit a completed Request for Accommodation form to HR. 

Employees who plan to request an exemption as a reasonable accommodation should submit the Request for Accommodation form at least ten days before the stated deadline to be vaccinated in order to avoid becoming non-complaint with this policy. Share Our Strength will assess whether such Employees are eligible for a reasonable accommodation in accordance with the Organization’s policy as well as federal, state, and local law. Share Our Strength will also keep any medical information obtained in connection with a request for a reasonable accommodation confidential in accordance with, and to the extent required by, applicable law, regulations and guidance.
