The Associate Director of Talent Partnerships leads the development and execution of a national talent partnerships strategy anchored in authenticity, equity, and mission alignment to increase visibility, deepen cultural relevance and unlock new supporters for No Kid Hungry. The goal is to steward and build relationships with talent who act as trusted ambassadors, amplifiers, and advocates for ending childhood hunger. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in talent relations and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Ideal candidates will bring entertainment industry experience with a background in public relations and a strong sense of hospitality and appreciation of teamwork. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strategic mindset, creative thinking, strong writing and presentation skills, and proficiency balancing a diverse portfolio. Key responsibilities include securing new mission-aligned talent and cultivating existing supporters, building No Kid Hungry’s presence and relations across the entertainment and sports industries, and designing and executing custom and meaningful talent engagement activations that support Share Our Strength’s mission and priorities.

This position is preferably based in Los Angeles or Washington, D.C. (Hybrid - 2 days per week); but could be in New York City or fully remote for the right candidate living outside these locations. The position offers a salary range of $102k-$112k. Exact compensation within the stated salary range may vary based on skills, experience, internal equity, and geographical location.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Leadership

• Lead talent partnership strategy, including programming, recruitment, stewardship, and creation of meaningful engagement opportunities.
• Serve as a brand ambassador for No Kid Hungry within the entertainment industry, partnering closely with talent and their teams to identify and activate nontraditional, culture-first pathways for engagement.
• Track trends in entertainment, influencer marketing, and social impact.
• Build, cultivate, and sustain strong relationships with celebrities, agencies, managers, and other entertainment industry executives to support long-term engagement and collaboration.
• Build, refine, and maintain internal talent engagement processes, including vetting protocols, onboarding procedures, and stewardship models.
• Supervise Manager of Talent Partnerships, setting goals and direction for their work, identifying and cultivating development opportunities with them and overseeing their projects.
• Partner with colleagues to support Share Our Strength's work to be a diverse and inclusive organization, and ensure this value is embedded in the organization and throughout our work.

Campaigns, Activations & Engagement

• Secure talent participation across organizational campaigns and events
• Design and deliver high-touch engagement opportunities for talent, including site visits, impact trips, and other immersive experiences that deepen understanding of and connection to the mission.
• Facilitate and operationalize artist-led fundraising models—including tour givebacks, special launches, and fan-driven activations—that meet audiences where culture lives.
• Execute priority and ad-hoc talent partnership requests, including those connected to corporate partnerships and fundraising initiatives.
• Partner with advocacy, marketing and public relations teams to operationalize amplification strategies and develop story ideas that drive national visibility.
• Develop, review, and approve talking points, messaging, and creative assets to ensure effective, on-brand talent integrations.

SUPERVISION
This position will supervise the Manager of Talent Partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in talent relations, marketing, public relations, entertainment, or related industries. Entertainment industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Collaborative and creative thinking with demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing multi-faceted and meaningful talent engagement strategies and campaigns.
• Highly strategic and organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while coordinating workflow in a deadline-driven and service-focused environment.
• Must be proactive and a self-starter. Excellent problem-solving and implementation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and to work well as a member of multiple teams.
• Strong presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and customer-service orientation.
• A strong desire to contribute to Share Our Strength’s mission.
